A weathered skull rests beneath a towering wild thistle, its thorned leaves and stubborn blooms rising directly from what was left behind. Thistle & Bone is a quiet piece of dark folklore about persistence: decay doesn’t always mark the end. Sometimes it becomes the ground for whatever grows next.

Created in the WOODCUT™ style of Hard Mode IRL, the design pairs old botanical-study detail with a stark memento mori composition. The thistle remains sharp, wild, and unapologetic while the bone beneath it slowly becomes part of the landscape.
