Some roads feel different after dark. The walk gets quieter, the shadows stretch a little farther, and somewhere behind you there may be footsteps that aren't yours.

The Black Dog draws from centuries of British and European folklore surrounding mysterious spectral hounds said to appear on lonely roads, near crossroads, and to travelers making their way home at night. Sometimes an omen. Sometimes a guardian. Sometimes just a silent presence that follows until the road becomes familiar again.

This design gives the legend a Hard Mode IRL twist: an eerie hound, a fallen lantern, one unsettling eye, and monumental weathered lettering. It's less about fearing what follows you through the darkness and more about acknowledging that some things simply become part of the journey.
