A blood-red wax seal forms the entire design, its surface heavy, imperfect, and dripping as though it never fully hardened. Cut directly through its center is a broken heart, not drawn onto the wax but missing from it entirely. What should represent commitment and permanence instead preserves the shape of something that failed.

The contradiction is the point. Wax seals were meant to authenticate promises, close letters, and mark things as official. Here, the seal remains while the promise at its center has disappeared. It becomes a relic of heartbreak, betrayal, lost love, and everything we once thought was permanent.
